1. Information We Collect
We collect information based on the product/service you use:
a. All Products
Personal Identification Information: Name, email, phone number, job title, organization.
Technical Data: IP address, device type, OS, browser, usage patterns (e.g., API logs, session duration).
Payment Information: Processed securely via Stripe; we do not store credit card details.
b. Product-Specific Data
-
Message metadata (e.g., timestamps, sender/receiver IDs).
Self-Hosted Instances: Data resides on your servers; we do not access it unless explicitly requested for support.
Location Data: Falcon Messenger may request access to your device's location (approximate or precise) to allow users to share their current location with trusted contacts for real-time coordination. This feature is only activated when the user explicitly selects the “Share Location” option. Location data is never collected or transmitted in the background without user consent and is used solely to fulfill the user’s request during a conversation.
-
Protected Health Information (PHI) as defined by HIPAA (e.g., patient records, treatment plans).
Hospital/clinic operational data (staff schedules, inventory).
-
Patient diagnostic data (e.g., medical images, lab results).
Anonymized/pseudonymized data used to improve AI accuracy.
Smart Gas Meters / Smart Water Meters:
Meter Registration Data – meter serial number, meter model, firmware version, and the user ID that performed the registration.
Location Data:
Precise Location (GPS) – captured once during initial meter registration.
Purpose: required by government-regulated utility platforms to verify that the physical meter matches the service address and to authorise remote valve operations.
Frequency: single capture at registration; no continuous background tracking.
Storage: encrypted at rest and retained until the meter is de-registered or the user account is deleted.
Valve Status & Commands – open / close state, command timestamps, and the outcome reported by the meter.
Balance & Payment Status – real-time read-only feed from the national utility billing system indicating account balance, payment receipts, and any arrears.
Diagnostic Telemetry – error codes, battery level, signal strength, and firmware update logs (only if the user opts in to “Send Diagnostics”).

Data used for model training is anonymized unless explicit consent is obtained.
Smart Gas Meters / Smart Water Meters
Government Utility Integration – The apps query the authorised government billing API to confirm your current balance.
If the balance becomes negative, the utility platform issues a mandatory Close Valve command to the meter.
When a positive balance is detected, the in-app Open Valve button becomes available; tapping it sends a digitally-signed command to reopen the valve.
Mandatory Location Capture – National regulations require utilities to verify each meter’s installed location. For that reason, precise GPS coordinates are collected only at the moment of registration and linked permanently to the meter ID. This data is never used for marketing or background location tracking.
Legal Basis – Processing is necessary to fulfil a public-interest task (utility safety) and to perform the contract with the user (supply of gas/water). Users cannot register a meter or operate its valve without consenting to this location usage.
Data Retention – Meter registration and location data are held for the lifetime of the meter or as long as required by utility regulations (currently 10 years after de-commissioning).
User Controls – Users may:
View their stored meter location in Settings › Registered Meters.
Request deletion of location data after de-registering the meter (utility approval required).
Opt out of diagnostic telemetry at any time (this does not affect mandatory location capture).
7. International Data Transfers
Data may be transferred globally. We use Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or Privacy Shield frameworks (where valid) to ensure protection.
8. Retention Periods
Personal Data: Retained until account deletion or 2 years post-termination.
PHI: Retained as required by HIPAA (typically 6 years).
Anonymized Data: Retained indefinitely for AI improvement.
9. Cookies & Tracking
We use cookies for functionality (e.g., login sessions) and analytics. Disable cookies via browser settings, but some features may break.
10. Children’s Privacy
Our services are not intended for users under 16 (or 13 under COPPA). We do not knowingly collect data from minors.
